One of the more popular actions is “Active/Deactivate Cue”, which simply turns a light/set of lights on or off.Īfter selecting this, you will see a “Cue” dropdown menu under it. Clicking on this will reveal a dropdown menu where you can select the lighting action you want. To the right of the Note should read “No Selection”. After you have set up the MIDI note, you will need to link it to a lighting action. The important thing to remember is that whatever parameters choose, you will need to copy them into Prime later. These parameters give you tons of combinations at your disposal. Here you can edit the command, the channel, and the note.
If you want to change the default MIDI cue, click on the pencil next to the cue. To the right of this is where you select the lighting that you want. Once this is selected, you are ready to jump into Lightkey!īy default, there is already a MIDI cue in place. At the bottom of the window, there is a dropdown menu that is labeled “Who may connect to me:”.
To the left of the newly created session is a blank box. In the top left corner, click on the “+” button to create a new network session. This window is where we will setup a MIDI network that allows the MIDI cues to travel between devices. From this new window, you will see a small button with a globe.Ĭlick on the globe to open the “MIDI Network Setup” window. Then in the “Window” tab in the top toolbar, select “Show MIDI Studio”.
